Meeting the Standard

KWS Defence achieves internationally recognised requirements

Following detailed external audits KWS Defence is pleased to confirm it has demonstrated it's compliance with the internationally recognised requirements of both OHSAS 18001 and PAS55.

The achievement of these standards reflect KWS Defence's commitment to continually improving our performance and ensuring we are meeting the MOD's requirements in respect of clean and waste water, fire mains and surface drainage.

OHSAS 18001 has been adopted as best practice and provided the business a framework to assess its current approach to managing health and safety in the work environment for our employees, MOD staff or contractors, our suppliers and the general public .

PAS 55, developed by the IAM (Institute of Asset Management) and BSI plus a large number of organisations, reflects the emergence of asset management as a discipline that links the business's purpose to the assets it uses to achieve its objective.

These achievements reflect a tremendous amount of work across the business in all areas to ensure our approach is effective, coordinated and aligned to achieve our objectives. The standards will continue to provide KWS Defence a sound basis to continually review and improve performance in future.
