Kelda Organic Energy (Edinburgh) accepts its first food waste delivery
Kelda Organic Energy has now received its first delivery of waste at its Anaerobic Digestion facility in Edinburgh.
This is a brand new facility which has a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per annum, energy generation of 30 Megawatts a day and will receive all of the food waste from the City of Edinburgh and Mid-Lothian councils as well as additional third party wastes.
This has only been possible due to the hard-work and commitment of all the colleagues who have been involved in the project.
We now look forward to the planned ramp up of waste into the facility prior to formal handover.
