The company now produces almost 50% of the total drinking water demand in the North of Ireland, and covers three counties; Antrim, Armagh and Derry.
Having achieved Service Commencement across all of its facilities in late 2008, Kelda Water Services (Alpha) is now in its second full year of operations and we are delighted that we continue to successfully deliver significant benefits to drinking water supplies on behalf of our client NI Water.
One of the biggest projects ever undertaken by NI Water, Project Alpha involved upgrading existing Water Treatment facilities at Dunore Point (Antrim), Ballinrees (Coleraine), Castor Bay (Craigavon), Moyola (Magherafelt), and also included the construction of over 50 km of strategic link mains supplying Ballymoney, Limavady and Lisburn.
· the project delivered drinking water supplies to the highest EU standards nine months ahead of Regulatory deadline.
· no additional construction costs were incurred by the client NI Water - a testament to the planning and collaboration between the teams on a project with a capital investment value of £110million
· the regulatory compliant services are being delivered within the anticipated budget set out in the original contract
· Supply of bulk chemicals
· Sampling and Analysis Services
· Capital maintenance
